College Admissions for the Jewish Soul
Jewish students need to feel safe and supported on college campuses. We’ve seen the news, and navigating the colleges and the college admissions process can be stressful and confusing. This free seminar hosted by International College Counselors will help parents of Jewish teenage children to understand some of the following:
- What’s changed in Jewish college life since October 7?
- Which colleges reacted “best” and which performed “worst” post-October 7?
- Should my child highlight or hide their Judaism in their college application?
- How do colleges look at participation in religious activities like Jewish youth groups, trips to Israel, and Jewish community service projects?
- In an essay, how should my student frame their Jewish activities?
- What should my student look for when planning their college list?
- What social, cultural, and religious options are on college campuses?
- What can I do to prepare my child for college life?
A Q&A will follow the presentation. Come ready to ask your own questions.
